Curator: Reception of the ancient Mediterranean, Department of Greece and Rome June 2024 - present

Catalogue Manager, Collection Projects and Resources April 2020 - June 2024

Quality control of data and catalogue entries in the British Museum's Collections Management System (MI+), working closely with curatorial and research staff to deliver and manage an accessible, consistent, up-to-date catalogue of the museum's collections for staff and public access.

Project Curator, Department of Greece and Rome Dec 2018 - March 2020 (secondment)

Working on the BP exhibition, Troy: myth and reality, supporting the lead Curator on all aspects of the preparation and delivery of the exhibition, including contributing to the accompanying book.

Documentation Officer, Collections Services 2015 - 2018 (part-time, 3 days per week)

Contributing to the supervision and maintenance of record standards for over 2 million records in the British Museum's collection database (initially Merlin, then upgraded in 2017 to MI+). Included checking edited records, performing global edits and deletions, assisting with terminology improvements and liaising with Merlin/MI+ users.  

Project Curator, Commercial Department 2009 - 2011 (full-time then part-time alongside my PhD studies)

Co-curator of a cross-departmental touring exhibition, Fantastic Creatures, shown at Ulsan Museum, South Korea, in 2011 and at Hong Kong Museum of Art in 2012.

Curator, Department of Greece and Rome 2007 - 2009

Co-curator of two major British Museum touring exhibitions.The Ancient Olympic Games was shown in  Shanghai and Hong Kong during 2008, to coincide with the Beijing Olympics. The Body Beautiful in Ancient Greece commenced its international tour in Alicante in April 2009, and has since been shown in venues in South Korea,Taiwan, Japan, Mexico and Portland, USA. A revised and updated version was shown at the British Museum in 2015, entitled Defining Beauty: the Body in Ancient Greek Art. I co-authored the catalogues and accompanying book. General curatorial duties also included answering public enquiries, giving lectures and gallery talks.

In 2008 I was awarded the Associateship of the Museums Association (AMA).

Responsibilities included collections management, exhibitions, planning, events and front of house services, managing the Museum Attendant team.

Responsible for documentation, collections management and care at the Oriental Museum and Old Fulling Mill Museum of Archaeology.

Prior to this, I was a volunteer at the Horniman Museum, Forest Hill, London; the Ashmolean Museum, Oxford; and the Oxfordshire Museum, Woodstock.
